design strategy at wieden + kennedy

One thing I’m incredibly passionate about is design and brand strategy. Throughout my time at Weiden and Kennedy, I gravitated towards the beginning stages of researching and concepting for design. I’m incredibly detailed when it comes to research and this evolved into a role at W+K where I helped carve out room for more early stage conversations of how design thinking can align with any company’s brand goals and values.

I worked with Design Director, Stephanie Ward to create a role as a Design Strategist that supported the New Business team. I worked closely with teams of Art Directors, Copywriters, Brand Strategist, Media Strategist and Brand Executives to study new clients and create design that aligned with who they are as a company and how they wish to see their brands speak in the world. This required taking on a new perspectives with every new client and creating work for them that, also, made them feel seen and valued. In this role, I worked on over 10 different New Business pitches where I adhered to different briefs and brand guidelines. Always thinking with brand and design, first. My interest for growing more thoughtful brand identities and campaigns stems from this belief that research and design hold a powerful key to telling a brand narrative.

As most of this work is New Business related, the work is confidential. If you are interested in hearing me talk through it more, I’d be happy to talk through it and show you some examples.
